Known as the “Mini Pantanal of Chapada Diamantina,” Marimbus combines a peaceful boat ride, wetlands, Quilombola culture, and natural pools. The itinerary includes a relaxing journey along the river, a walk to Roncador, swimming in its natural rock pools, and an authentic insight into the history and local way of life. It’s a unique experience that brings together nature, local culture, and tranquility, with boat navigation, the natural pools of Roncador, and close contact with the region’s communities and history.

Quilombola Community
The tour begins with a 20 km drive to a Quilombola community. From there, we continue to Marimbus, known as the “Mini Pantanal.”
Roncador River
A 7 km boat ride, guided by local residents. After the crossing, we take a 20-minute walk to the Roncador River, where several natural rock pools offer great spots for swimming.
Casarão
Lunch is served in a historic mansion more than 200 years old, now converted into a restaurant. After lunch, there is time for a swim before returning by boat.

Remanso Quilombola Community
The tour begins in the Remanso Quilombola Community, where history, culture, and tradition are an essential part of the experience. Local residents also guide the canoe trips through Marimbus, sharing their knowledge of the region and their way of life.
Marimbus & Roncador River
Known as the “Mini Pantanal of Chapada Diamantina,” Marimbus is a vast wetland area rich in biodiversity, aquatic vegetation, and native wildlife. After the canoe crossing, we continue to the Roncador River, where natural rock pools and swimming spots offer the perfect place to cool off.
Casarão
During the tour, we stop at a historic local mansion, where a homemade lunch is served. Beyond the food, the visit offers a special opportunity to connect with local residents and hear stories about Chapada Diamantina and the region’s mining past.
